This is #8 of 9 in a series of commissioned paintings for an Insurance Agency. It measures 36" x 31" using Bob Ross Oils and mediums. I first sketched out my composition. Then I used Black Gesso on the lower darker areas of the painting before beginning. I began by painting the darks and earth tones like Yellow Ochre, Burnt Sienna, Indian Yellow and Van Dyke Brown.
The sky is a combination of Bob Ross techniques and some Liquid White highlights beneath the clouds. The clouds are Prussian Blue and Alizarin Crimson. The lighter area in the sky is Pthalo Blue over a Liquid White base. The flowers along the roadside are Bob Ross Soft Floral paints in Pink and Alizarin.
I have attached a few preliminary steps that hopefully will help someone. I truly hope so.

WOW!! This is incredible!!
I am always inspired when you share! This is Fantastic. I know that multiple layers are the key to creating a photo realistic painting so posting some of your steps is a great way to show how this painting evolved!
Thanks everyone. I try to include detail in my paintings so the viewer feels as if they are part of a little treasure hunt.
Super!
Such incredible detail. The untied shoe lace, the distant field, and that highly detailed barbed wire! The colors and the entire scene are great.
